Prom Walk will be held tomorrow, May 5, 2023 at 4:00 pm in the High School Auditorium. Doors will be opened to the public beginning at 3:30 pm.
We'd like to thank Ashton Snyder and Doug Snyder from the Millersburg Fire Company for presenting an assembly this morning to the high school students. They presented a brief history about the company, and described duties and career opportunities in fire safety, rescue, and EMS/EMT. Ashton also met with HS and MS students during lunch today. We're hoping to get some students interested in starting a Club as a first step to becoming Jr. Firefighters.
There is a Post Prom Meeting tonight, Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 6:00 in High School room A-130. Please consider coming to help us plan for May 6! We need volunteers!

The Post Prom Party on May 5-6 is fast approaching. The High School PTSO has worked very hard to make this year's Post Prom Party a success. However, we can't provide this opportunity for our students without more parent volunteers. We still need more parents to sign up. If you haven't signed up, please do so using the link below.

Good afternoon,
As a precautionary measure, the Pennsylvania State Police advised Lenkerville Elementary School to shelter in place for approximately 30 minutes this morning due to police activity in the area of the school. Students and staff were permitted to move within the building as normal during this time, but outside access was restricted until the police activity concluded.
At the onset of the incident, a “lockdown” was announced but later changed to “shelter in place” after approximately 10 minutes. We praise our students and staff for responding quickly and appropriately to the announcement. Counseling was provided to anyone in need as a result of the initial response. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if additional support is needed.

Report cards for the 3rd quarter are now available on the Student/Parent Portal in Power School. Students will be bringing home a letter today with Power School Login information. If you wish to receive a hard copy of your child's report card, you may request one from the office.

Millersburg Area School District received a Safe 2 Say tip this morning regarding the safety of the student that made the tip and mental heath of a high school student. The School Administration immediately contacted the Pennsylvania State Police. The Pennsylvania State Police met with the administration at the high school while staff and students were arriving to school today. The Pennsylvania State Police were able to locate the student off school grounds and are helping to provide the student the mental health services needed. The Pennsylvania State Police have advised the district that we may operate school as normal today.

Col Jim Astor, USAF, presented the Department of Defense, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, Patriot Award to Dr. Dan Potutschnig, Dave Shover, Amber Owen, and Mark Hamilton at last night's board meeting. These four individuals were nominated by Master Sergeant Dawn Hoffman, 553rd Air National Guard Band of the Northeast and our wonderful art teacher. What an incredible honor!

29 high school students from the Conservation Club, along with four faculty advisors, spent the in-service day this past Friday stocking the Wiconisco Creek. Two fish trucks, three canoes, four float boxes, and 224 buckets of fish later, the creek is loaded with trout for opening day!
Congratulations to our girls basketball team for defeating Tri-Valley on Friday, March 10 in the first round state playoff game. Our girls now face Homer Center on Tuesday, March 14 at Bald Eagle High School. Go Girls!!
The Middle and High School students were extremely fortunate to welcome Carlos Ojeda, Jr., motivational speaker, to our campus today. Carlos is a nationally recognized speaker. He gave a very inspirational speech to our students. We want to thank our Student Council for sponsoring today's assembly!
