Air Quality Testing Being Conducted At Lenkerville Elementary

During the afternoon of September 6, 2018, the administration was informed of a mold-like substance located in a custodial closet at Lenkerville Elementary. The district immediately contacted a professional analytics company and after consultation, the district remediated the affected area. As an additional precaution, the district will be testing the air quality conditions at Lenkerville Elementary today, Friday, September 7, 2018. Due to this testing, Lenkerville Elementary is closed today for students. Lenkerville Elementary staff should report to the middle school/high school complex at regular time. The district will continue to take the appropriate responses as necessary based upon the findings of the air quality tests and the recommendations from the professional analytics company.

It is important to note the dedicated work of our custodial staff throughout the summer and during the beginning weeks of the school year. We continue to take several proactive measures at Lenkerville Elementary to combat the high humidity levels with intensive visual searches, proactive dehumidification and thorough cleaning of the classrooms. As always, we appreciate your continued support and understanding. We will provide you with additional updates as necessary.
