Millersburg Area School District
The 2016-2017 school year of the Millersburg Area School District will begin on Monday, August 29, for all students in grades kindergarten through 12. The District will utilize a six (6) day school cycle this year. A cycle day chart will be posted and updated, as needed, on the District’s website.
Elementary students, including full day kindergarteners, middle school students, and high school students who are not registered or scheduled for the upcoming school year are asked to go to the appropriate building office as soon as possible to complete registration so that proper room assignments and schedules can be completed before the opening of school. Parents are asked to have a record of all immunizations, the last report card from their previous school and, if possible, a transfer card. Parents or guardians must accompany their child(ren) when completing the registration process. School offices are open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. School telephone numbers are 692-3072 at Lenkerville Elementary and 692-2108 at the middle and high schools.
In an effort to keep students and staff members as safe as possible within District schools and facilities, the doors at all schools will remain locked until 7:30 a.m. At 7:30 a.m., the main entrances at the elementary, middle and high schools will be unlocked for student arrival - students may enter their respective building at that time.
The school day at Lenkerville Elementary will begin at 8:10 a.m. and conclude at 2:50 p.m. The end-of-day sign-out procedures at Lenkerville will begin at 2:30 for students that are being picked-up. The school day at the middle and high schools will begin at 8:05 a.m. and conclude at 3:05 p.m.
After the start of the school day, all visitors must enter through the respective building’s secure vestibule. Visitors to our District are reminded, as a matter of security, all doors to each school will be locked after the initial student reporting period in the morning.
Cafeteria prices for the 2016-2017 school year for lunch will be $1.85 for students at Lenkerville Elementary School and $2.10 for students at the middle and high schools; breakfast costs $1.25. Lunch and breakfast will be served August 29. Applications for the Free and Reduced School Meals Program will be distributed to all students on August 29.
Parents may access room assignments for their children via the PowerSchool Parent Portal. All questions about bus routes/bus schedules should be directed to Mrs. Bonnie Troutman at Lenkerville Elementary School at 692‑3072.
We look forward to seeing community volunteers and visitors in our schools throughout the 2016-2017 school year!
