By law, school district superintendents must be evaluated yearly and the evaluation posted on the district's website.  The superintendent will be evaluated in the following areas:

Superintendent plans and thinks strategically to implement an organizational vision that promotes student success and prepares students to be competitive in all endeavors after graduation.
 
Effective Decision Making
Superintendent leads the district effectively, using appropriate data to inform decision making at all levels of the system.
 
Organizational Management
Superintendent ensures prudent management of the resources for a safe, efficient and effective learning environment.
 
Community Advocacy
Superintendent collaborates, communicates, engages and empowers those outside of the organization for the benefit of the district. 
 
Ethics
Superintendent operates in a fair and equitable manner with personal and professional integrity.
 
Personal and Professional Growth
Superintendent makes professional growth a priority and makes an effort to stay current on educational trends, research and practices.
 
On August 22, 2016, the Millersburg Area School District Board of Education confirmed that Mr. Thomas J. Haupt, Superintendent, received a rating of Proficient or better for the six identified performance objectives for the 2015-2016 school year.
